When do I have to pay funding charges?

Funding charges apply only if you have an active position during the funding interval. Whether you pay or receive funding depends on the funding rate:
If the contract is trading above the oracle price, the funding rate is positive
→ Long position holders pay funding to short holders
If the contract is trading below the oracle price, the funding rate is negative
→ Short position holders pay funding to long holders
Funding is exchanged only between traders and varies every hour.
