What's the difference between Isolated Margin and Cross Margin?
Updated
The main difference lies in how margin is allocated.
In Isolated Margin, only the margin assigned to a specific position is used for that trade.
In Cross Margin, your available Futures wallet balance, margin allocated to all cross-margin positions and open orders, along with eligible unrealised PnL, collectively fund your cross-margin positions.
Choose Isolated Margin if you want to limit the risk to individual trades, or Cross Margin if you prefer to maximize the use of your available margin while understanding the increased liquidation risk.
