Why are the buying and selling prices different for the cryptos on CoinDCX?

Updated

In most markets, the prices for buying and selling are naturally a bit different. In India's VDA (Virtual Digital Asset) markets, this difference is often wider because of the 1% TDS (Tax Deducted at Source).

Sellers usually set higher selling prices and lower buying prices, trying to find a balance where they can cover the 1% tax without losing money. This wider gap between buying and selling prices is what we mean by "spreads."

For regular users, it's a good idea to use "limit orders." This means you can decide the exact price at which you want to buy or sell. It helps you work with these price differences more effectively.

In markets where you can only use "market orders" (where you buy or sell at the current market price), we're actively working on solutions to make sure the prices are fair for everyone. Your feedback is very important as we make improvements.
